A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY

Moura Sand and Gravel Pty Ltd was established over 20 years ago. We provide service to the civil contracting, mining and resource industries through the provision of quarry materials, and mobile crushing and screening.

Castle Creek Quarry was established in September 2007 after a gap in the supply of quarry materials to the south of Fairview Quarry was realised.

The Companies work separately, but are mutually managed from our Moura depot and our Management team strives to maintain consistent standards across both businesses.

SAFETY FIRST

June 2009 saw the launch of our Safety, Health and Environmental Management Plan. This Plan is a working document that sets out Occupational Health and Safety standards to be adopted by our team on all of our work sites.

The safety of our team, visitors and contractors is paramount and we are creating a culture that encourages safety first.

WHAT WE DO

We operate 2 hard rock quarries; Fairview Quarry is located 25kms North West of Banana, and Castle Creek Quarry is located 20kms North East of Theodore.

We maintain a keen focus on our ability to crush and screen material on a mobile basis. We utilise the latest tracked mobile crushing plant available and have the capacity to locate and establish work sites with limited notice.

We operate 2 sand extraction sites; one off Castle Creek Road near Theodore and one West of Moura off Bears Lagoon Road.

We service isolated rural properties around the district with potable drinking water and also offer the provision of recycled water delivery.

We have the capacity to undertake demolition work and have performed a number of demolition ventures in recent times.

We have a road construction and maintenance crew that travels in and around Central Queensland, delivering quality road repairs and maintenance.

As our people are our most valuable asset, we aim to provide them with informative inductions and the training and tools to become successful team members that hold customer satisfaction and safety as their highest value.

We boast a large fleet of assorted wheel loaders, equipped with productivity software for accurate reporting and load out management..

Our fleet of modern remote controlled tracked equipment enables our team to mobilize on site promptly, efficiently and safely.

ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT

We consider environmental management to be an integral element in the management responsibilities of each business unit. We are committed to conducting our operations in such a way that the environment is protected.

We work closely with the EPA and the Department of Employment, Economic Development and Innovation and the guidelines that they set. We are conscious and committed to meeting our obligations.
